By ^^jj^^ ^j^ Mary Cary is a 13 year old orphan who tells of life in the orphanage and discovers by accident that she does have an uncle who has no idea she was born to his sister who died when Mary was 3. She was sent to the orphanage after her father died. She is such a fun character always keeping the place alive. This story was published in 1910 and written by Kate Langley Bosher who does a lovely job in describing in detail so you feel like you a part of the story. I will definitely be reading more of her books!

The story is about a young girl who had lost her parents and was being raised in an orphanage. In England. When she's good, her name is Mary; when she's bad (which is most of the time), her name is Martha. You'll catch on . . . It touched my heart like no other book had. I originally found it as an Audio Book from Librivox. Wonderfully done! It's a classic. Now I have the actual book. It was wonderful to actually read it after listening to it four or five times.Mary Cary - "Frequently Martha"Kate Langley Bosher is not famous, but her books are skillfully written. And . . . Mary Cary continues on in a sequel called "Miss Gibbie Gault". Miss Gibbie Gault
